2018 Far Niente Cabernet. Love this vineyard and their signature cab is outstanding! Very nice bouquet, rich with dark fruits, blackberry, plum and light earth notes. Thick long lasting legs. Very smooth on the palette. Rich ripe fruit at the start with blackberry. Finish is smooth with light berry notes. Very low tannins. Love it! Paired well with a big Italian meal with lasagna and sausage. — 18 days ago

Real pleasure. Started out surprisingly soft and elegant and about 1 hour in it just jumped the river and became a true grippy left bank Bordeaux. I had to check our claim that Vilafonté Bordeaux series m and c can stand shoulder to shoulder with the big rollers of Bordeaux. They sure do! Nice color. No real sediment, just a touch cloudy on the last pour. Let this aerate in my glass for 4 hours before drinking

👃Red fruit but especially pretty with roses, dried fruit, tea, tar, and menthol. Just beautiful

👅Red cherry and blue fruit, tar, earth, mushroom, tea and herbs. Some tannic grip remains but this is silky. The finish is quite long with a touch of acidic bitterness. A bit of volatile acidity in the form of acetone, but not really distracting. Medium body. Composed and elegant.
