An incredibly powerful, oxidative wine from Jura. The intensely nutty, salty, oily, honied flavors were magical with the “Pastured chicken, preserved lemon, garlic confit” dish which tasted braised and white-saucey.

Could this be the best value I’ve ever tasted? It’s right up there. Sweet purple fruits, mineral backbone, grilled meat. A lovely lavender note; both dried and fresh, excellent length on the finish. This is the wine of Jean-Claude Berrouet own estate. He’s former winemaker and Technical Director of Petrus and made 44 vintages of Petrus. Black currants, plum, earth, bay leaf, cedar wood, orange peel and a mineral finish. Fantastic value. — 2 months ago
