First time trying Domenico Clerico. Definitely can see how this leans a bit to the more powerful side but can’t argue with the quality and depth. Lots of balsamic, tar, and flowers. Great acid and tannins are still present but in check. Long finish. Fun one to try. — 6 days ago

Great examplar of the old school Barolo…decanted 90 mins….seriously pungent/truly gorgeous nose, more refined on the palate but lots of fruit, still a bit wooden/tannic - not offensively so but could probably mellow another 5 years. But very drinkable now, perfect with a heavy roast. Nose is so fragrant I could go around sniffing this all day — 4 months ago

Nose- rose petals, leather and turf. I get some annisette, cherry, and earth on the palate. Tannins are moderate. This could age a bit more. I was surprised it was a little thin. Enjoyed with pasta and a rich guancale/ sausage tomato sauce. — 3 months ago

Light, nice cherry and a bit of smokiness. Get a tad of the alcohol on the finish. Went so well with my sausage based dish. But this could be a great sipper with some garden tomatoes, prosciutto and cheese. — 9 months ago
