Tawny and mostly opaque. Killer nose. Notes of plum, soy, anise, roses, some tar and dark earth. Sublime in the mouth. In a great place right now.

Tawny color. Clean and barely translucent. Opened and given 3 hours of air. Great nose. Notes of black cherry, roses, cranberries, tea, road tar, menthol, soy sauce and a little smokiness. Very big in the mouth. Fruit is matched against a lot of structure and backbone. Great tonight with osso bucco. Has a long life ahead of it.

1990 vintage. Medium ruby hue. On the nose,, leather and animal, dark cherry, sweet spices. Rich. On the palate, full body, medium acidity, medium plus alcohol and full concentration. Medium finish. Not my style.
