So much more sweet fruited on the nose than the Caldwell. Partially due to age. Little bit of toasted oak with blackberries and cassis on the nose. Licorice, ripe raspberries and clove on the finish. Very Farella-like, as it should be. Years ahead of it. Nice pull @Mark Flesher .

2012. Nice visit with Massimo Di Costanzo in St Helena today. Outstanding Farella Cab with nice acidity. 2013 barrel sample was also outstanding. This is a young winemaker worth following.

This is a wine I can get excited about. Layers and layers of depth, coombsville fruit so a little softer but this wine just wowed me. Great effort.

I'm a huge fan of this wine... Beautifully balanced with great complexity. Nothing is over done with this wine: good fruit, oak is well integrated and a great freshness!

12' DI Costanzo Farella Vineyard Cabernet. Nice expressive herbal nose. Smooth...juicy black fruits. A touch of mocha. What a wonderful crowdpleasing wine. @Ron R thoroughly enjoying the wine as we speak. Kristen & I can't thank you both enough. See you soon!
