This was opened and we enjoyed a few glasses before recorking and reapproaching 24 hours later, at which point it was really singing. Yellow peach, pear and medley of orchard fruit, layered with pressed yellow flowers, dried persimmon, and notes of vanilla and bourbon. So delicate. Such fine bubbles. Saltwater taffy and some caramel and rock salt on the palate. Subtle tannic echo. Mesmerizing. — a month ago
@Peter van den Besselaar better to rephrase- it was good but reticent upon opening, so we recorked it and then tried again after 24 hours, at which point it was really amazing.
Sharp. Gripping. Nuanced and powerful. Lots of acid and minerality mixed with rich pear light fruit touches. Full mouthfeel and a long finish. Fantastic vintage. — 2 months ago
Bright ruby. Fresh mouthfeel, ripe fruit up front - mostly red fruit, plum. Medium bodied. Tannins fully integrated and almost silky. Medium plus finish. — 3 months ago
What a treat! Tangerine, burnt orange peel, caramel, and wet dog. Sherry characteristics. Absolutely one of a kind. Seems to have plenty of gas left in the tank. — 6 months ago
@Severn Goodwin Wish I could get my hands on some more. Winery seems to be holding back and when it gets in the market it’s super allocated. Will be hunting it down!
Opened for 2.5 hours - a weighty masterpiece. Rich nose of raspberry and hint of cedar and hibiscus. Well polished and smooth on the palate. Super long finish. Tannins well integrated. — 2 months ago
Great vintage for Allemand This had an intoxicating nose with dark fruit that was inky with a glycerin note, iron, meat, olive, pepper, savory spice & violet. Silky, balanced on the palate with a long finish. — 3 months ago
