Medium ruby with wide garnet rim . On the nose quite red fruit focused with earthy , sous bois and truffle notes , grafite coffee and cedar . On the palate medium bodied with a mix of red and dark fruit, soy , tobacco , iron filings and cedar. Quite good acidity , with fine tannin , balanced alcohol . 2003 vintage tasted in Aug 2023. This wine was so incredibly enjoyable. Fruit still so ripe - black, red, and blue. Incredible soft dusty tannins have a great mouthfeel. Graphite, lead shaving, crushed rock. So we’ll integrated. Finish of 45s+. Loved it! — 8 months ago
