Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2012

A tasting of nine 2012 Sonoma Coast Pinots. Found this to be drier and less interesting than the others. #8 for the group. — 2 months ago

Punching way above its weight. Chocolate, cinnamon, tobacco, vanilla from the oak, on the nose. Viscous on the palate; not tannic, but well defined. Really satisfying, especially at $17. Pandemic bottle #8. — a year ago

Marchesi Antinori

Tignanello Toscana Super Tuscan Blend 2013

I can definitely see why it was wine spectator #8. I saved this wine for last couple of years but decided it was time to enjoy with good friends. Well blended, opened for a good hour and merry Christmas it was! — 3 years ago

Altamont Pinot Noir 2010

Tasting of 10 of the 2007-2011 Dehlinger Pinots. Eva Delingher was kind enough to join our tasting and answer all of our random questions. So this one was very confusin, it kept fading in and out. As such I rated it #8 of 10 — 5 months ago

Riserva Cannonau di Sardegna 2013

Thanksgiving wine #8. Always a fave. Wish I had brought more of this back, it just keeps getting richer, rounded. — 2 years ago

Valdivieso

Caballo Loco Number Nine Red Blend

Valdivieso of Chile, central valley, Caballo Loco #8. 14% alc. This blend is unknown as the grapes are not mentioned on the bottle. The color is ruby red with a tint of brown like we see in most French wines. The bouquet is like an Italian Sangiovese with hints of blueberry pie and dandelions. The palate is characteristic of dark cherry and blueberry and a hint of dark currant. There is a slight hint of oak and moss. No spice, no other real flavors that I can detect. A very simple wine. The finish is quick and mildly dry. Not my favorite, but not bad for a South American wine. — 3 years ago

Kosta Browne

Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2012

My #8 in this 2007-2018 vertical. I thought it was the 2016, turned out to be the 2012. Seem much younger, so I guess it should really shine in the next few years — 8 months ago
