Sweet strawberry, herbs, tobacco and black pepper on the nose, can smell the high alcohol. Straight black pepper on the tongue, as well as cigar wrapper, almost overpowers the fruit. High quality and fun. If you are looking for a wine that screams Zin, this is it. — 17 days ago

It always surprises me when scents takes me back. This wine took me back to the Pinot Noir that got me obsessed with Pinot Noir: a 1978 Antonin Rodet Santenay, drunk in 1982 when I was 22.
Super sappy, rich, tangy dark cherry essence on the nose. A wee bit of wet earth, limestone, and spice. In the mouth it’s very tangy and minerally, with surprising acidity (which is unlike the Santenay I remembered). Not complex or deep, but, damn, this is a fun wine. — 4 days ago
