Beautiful nose! Fruit is largely expired but the tannins persist and are much softer than typical Cabernet tannins. Drink this soon! — 21 days ago
Medium deep garnet with a quite wide garnet rim . Aromatic with rose , pressed flowers , dried earth , forest floor . On the palate delicate with finesse , more red fruits than dark , those earthy notes and forest floor also, red currant , touch of smoke . Pretty melted tannins , good fresh acidity . Just starting to dry out perhaps on the finish so I would drink sooner than later . I get the impression that the aroma is so interesting and complex but the palate just lacks a little depth . But all in all this is quintessential Margaux. Drink now and over the next 5-8 years. — 3 months ago

Oh such a lovely wine. 1983 Montepulciano d’Abruzzo. Recorked in 2023. Such a beautiful nose. Opened without decanting, but gave it 25-30 minutes. Palette still needs to open a bit. Enjoyed before it really opened with the Lumache (duck and goose with ricotta): delicious but still not open enough. Then ordered the prime rib and it really opened up after more than an hour open. Nose remained so pretty but the palate really got going. Tertiary flavors of leather, earth and spice, yet with a nice touch of red fruits (cherry). BYOB BTW. — 2 months ago

Birth year Latour for our 700th wine on Delectable! Very mature but still with lots of life. Leather, graphite and earthy notes and still so much power. A great pleasure to drink! — 6 days ago
