Classic, dried red fruits with toasted leather and spice. A clean, fresh, mouthfeel as the acidity is bright and lends a feminine grace as the tannin has relented. Superb and should be extremely versatile with cuisine. #ducru

40th pre-tastings. Just past prime.

Some tasting notes suggests that '83 has decades of life ahead of it. This bottle was clearly at its peak on Feb 1, 2022. Rounded and refined. Cherries and soft tannins.

I’m loath to rate this so as not to let the secret of this somewhat under the radar vintage out. Drinking really well now.

A tiny amount of cork, but still extremely enjoyable. Can’t wait to revisit
