Vintage 2017 / #Domina is a crossing of #spätburgunder and #blaueportugieser Most of these grapes grow in #Franken and #Ahr Germany. Very dark colour, at first it seems very quaffable and a bit frivolous. After a few minutes in the glass also tones of spices. / Partnered it with turkey liver and salad. Vintage 2007 - curiosity from #pfalz made of #spätburgunder, blanc de noir ánd #eiswein picked after frost. It always amazes me that eiswein has a very high acidity. This wine has it too, with beautiful balance, roundness and a sweetness that is not boring. — 8 years ago

#Zelt's #2013 #Spätburgunder (#PinotNoir) is a delicious wine that we had with a lovely dry cheese similar to a Manchego, but a piece of choice beef like a well-aged rib eye would go down very nicely. Lovely after advanced decanting, but I look forward to seeing it after another 3-5 years in the cellar.

Medium ruby color, with a garnet ring
Pronounced aromas of ripe strawberry, dried raspberry, blackberry, earth, wet leaves, tobacco, cloves, pepper, a hint of wet stones, farmyard nuance. Complex developing aromas.
The wine is dry. Acidity is medium+, tannins are medium, well integrated, silky, body is medium, alcohol is medium, flavor intensity is pronounced. Ripe strawberry, blackberry, tea leaves, earth, a hint of chocolate. The barrel do well integrated! Finish is medium+;.
For me it's outstanding! The balance, complexity, length and intensity.
Drink now, suitable for aging.
