Germanic traits - the forest earthy dark shades of Pinot. With perfumed leathery cherries, dried orange, cinnamon, mint, and cedar, salts and stones and bright acid. High acid, raw, rustic. Raisiny flavors with a tart finish.

Great Pinot! Strawberry, leather, earth, Forrest floor. 15’ showing first sight of age but going strong and not showing any sign of slowing down yet!

Just came of the boat the day before. Closed & in bottle shock. What a difference a day makes. 20 h later. Earthy and mushroomy with dark berry components. Needs time and definitely time to open up. Elegant.

A bit oaky/one dimensional but a tasty drop no doubt

Sometimes i get carried away and my German Heritage shines through. So I tasted this wine ‘after distancing myself for 2 weeks’. This is still a stunner could be a 80$ bottle of burgundy. For the money 30$ or so unbeatable. Dark cherries minerals, salty just delish. I will for sure seek out the next vintages.

Could be a Chambolle. This wine has this Raspberry touch as it airs some cherry comes in. Hint of black tea bag. Very well managed tannins. Plenty of acid. This is a super Pinot for 35$ .This will further mellow with a couple of years and then will be even more enticing. A truly ridiculous bargain. Usually Rebholzes Pinot’s are smokey and odd when young. This one is really a stand out! My friends at the Meritage in Encinitas tipped me off on this one ☝️. 💥💥💥.
