This fabulous #Pinot dedicated to their eldest son, #Felix, is one of the finest examples of #German #Spätburgunder I've encountered and served from a rare 3 liter double #magnum it really developed and impressed us all in the glass... a mere 120 bottles of the 2013 were auctioned off on the 18th of September. #Keller #Morstein #Felix #PinotNoir #Rheinhessen — 8 years ago
#German #Chardonnay - greenish yellow in colour, a little bubbly; pear and wood notes. Mild minerality. — 8 years ago
Interesting wine if you want a red that's very light but not quite a rose. #reidlinrot 2011 #german any wine at #cafeclover nyc is always a treat. — 9 years ago
In many ways this was the wine of the night...a perfect expression of what truly great #German #Riesling is all about: fruit, acidity, ripeness, minerality all rolled into one...never mind that #PrincessCharlotte of England and I share the same birthday of May 2nd, but more importantly this is very serious wine to lay down for my daughter, Maria Katharina, who arrived a few months later! #Keller #Hipping #Riesling #Kabinett — 8 years ago
I got this old bottle at a #German #auction about 15 years ago and, on a whim, decided to serve it recently with a shrimp and avocado salad under a delicate, yet rather simple oil and vinegar dressing... the result was sublime as the nearly fifty-year-old bottle was uncannily fresh... a marvelous foil to the sharper, more savory dressing. Yes, it still had some residual sugar and that was a good thing as was the excellent core of ripe acidity that played a strong roll in the wine's remarkable balance--BRAVO! #1969 #JacobHamm #Winkeler #Jesuitengarten #Riesling #Cabinet #Spätlese — 8 years ago
Intense red from #Württemberg. Big nose and mild tannins. #Acolon is a cross between #Lemberger and #Dornfelder, so this wine is as #German as it gets. Ideal companion for heavy Schwabisch meats. — 9 years ago

Electric on the nose!
Palate of plums, ripe cherries, subtle purple flowers, and tertiary characteristics of earth.
Very interesting! It almost tastes French!
