Very pretty and hightoned. Delicate red berry fruit, sweet cherry, red and purple florals, baking spice, some herbal green stem, and a touch of bretty funk. Soft acid and tannins. The palate has nice fruit but is ultimately a bit simple. Tasty none the less and quite nice with a manchego and sopresata grilled cheese.

Upon opening, a big hit of undissolved SO2 on the scratchy back palate. After a day’s aeration, a lovely, medium-weight Pinot. Cola, roasted plums, pie spices...not unlike an old Tulocay Pinot Noir! Fun stuff. #pfalz #spätburgunder

Global warming is blessing German Pinot Noir right now! Luscious fruit with spice and moderated acidity. Some of that seedy bitterness that I love in Northern PNoir and Cab Franc. Killer bottle at a bargain price! Thanks, DRESSNER!
