@Stagsleap #wine #PetiteSirah was label I bought with my first paycheck in the industry (1997 vint) circa 2001. The vintage has changed, but is still a staple just the same.

Opaque in the glass. Minute ruby color at rims edge. Oily sheen.

Some herbs on the nose. Dull mint and oregano. Robust and dense.

The palate is sleek with tannins landing mid palate to finish. Nicely incorporated. Boysenberry with damp earth. Inky and stinky, it shows some potpourri (olfactory), and subtle bitterness residual. Balanced and great lingering flavor. Opened 12/10/15 — 11 years ago

This is a great #wine in so many ways. Color is very well balanced and gradient shows Harmony throughout the glass. Glowing color and polished sheen. Slight perfume, elegance and soft lavender aromas with a hint of passion fruit or fuzzy fruit.

The palate is incredibly soft and pillowy. The tannins are amazing for 2013 #PetiteSirah. Whether it be 4% Viognier, or over sized oak barrels, it has amazing texture. The plush, grapey, soft berries, gentle tannin and mild acidity make the wine. Opened 12/18/15 — 11 years ago
