Magnum was better on day two, showing acute complexities unrealized initially.

Creamy texture on the palate, start to get some varietal character and good acidity as it warms up. I prefer a more elegant, lower ABV style but if heavier Pinot is your thing, here’s a good example though QPR isn’t compelling. — 5 years ago

2nd of 3 wines part of a virtual work happy hour from the Mrs. #russianrivervalley #pinotnoir - boldly fruit-forward, bramble fruit, faint spice on the nose. Drinks richer than many Merlots. Some layers in the palate, creamy texture, faint spice behind a big tidal wave of purple fruit up front and feathery tannins to finish. It needs more acidity and I prefer a more elegant Pinot but definitely a well-made wine if big fruity Pinot is your thing. — 6 years ago

Compelling nose of acorn squash, zucchini blossom, cooling lemon zest, green apple, lime, drawn, clarified butter, corn flakes, tiny sprinkles of dried pineapple, and banana leaf aromas. Soft lemon pith and wet peel, green orchid stem, tangy, deconstructed lime from zest to oil and pith, lemon grass, and fresh cut lemon somehow echoing green apple tart bursts; lean and sexy with myriad edible flowers, lavender, squash blossom, nasturtiums, dandelion, and others, small and subtle. Overall a great Chardonnay with elegance and calculated beauty reminiscent of a Japanese garden, or a small, manicured French palatial jardin. .

I remember my first experience with this floral, beautiful wine as clearly as if it had happened just yesterday.
