Smells of bright cherry, raspberry, dried strawberry and violets. Raspberry, plum and light cranberry with thyme and roses on the palate. Touch of anise, cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger snap, but all pulled together by the fruit and a layer of saffron-apple. Uniquely delightful. Had with Sashimi, and wasabi to cut the fog, so held its own. #sojourncellars #russianrivervalley #russianriverpinot #rrv #sonoma #pinotnoir #pn

Fresh red fruit and exotic wood flavors. Spicier than cedar but not mouth numbing. Some Santa Maria Pinot noir‘s can be very herbaceous but this one expresses what the Russian River Valley is known for, at least in my opinion, a more ripe and delicate fruit forward palette.

I heard a lot about this winery and almost visited their tasting room in Sonoma. Disappointed with their basic Pinot. Aromatic but not overly complex. Lacks structure and acidity. The wine don’t last in your mouth as long as great wines do. Good wine for $20-30 but not for $40+.
