This is a beautiful Double Magnum from Napa Valley.

Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity.

Showing black fruits with tobacco, cedar, vanilla, licorice, peppercorn, chocolates, coffee and light earth.

Long finish with firm tannins.

Rich and bold with a nice mouthfeel. Still young, but already delicious.

This 6 year old, from the 2015 vintage, is extracted and in your face kind of wine, that needs at least 15 years in the bottle. Showing great complexity already, with a great mouthfeel.

Robert Parker 94 points.

Good right out of the bottle and better with airtime, which I did not have. This double Magnum finished so quickly.

A really nice wine to have all by itself.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were aged in 100% new oak barrels. A small production of only 175 cases.

15.1% alcohol by volume.

Always surprised by how long good wines can last. I would never have called it a 20yr old wine blind. Good balance and really came alive with the fruit after 1+ hours in the decanter. Unfortunately on the downside now and the flavors are starting to fade. However, it’s still elegant but we actually decide to pair it with the cheese instead of the big steak which was the right call.
