This is a throwback bottle for me. Right after our first kid was born, I cooked a lot of mussels for a quick and affordable (yet luxurious) meal at home. I often used Muscadet or Txakolina, and this was a go-to producer. So this went with red curried mussels and rice. Not as delicious as I remember from those moments, but still easygoing, crisp, a bit fizzy and great with shellfish. — 2 years ago
Immediately after opening it was restrained, but two days later it was glorious if only for a few moments. Thanks, @Chris MacLean ! — 2 years ago
Also had this at Boston’s Bubble Bath along with other well selected wines. Unlike any other Barbera ever tasted. From Emilia Romagna. Herbal snd chalky, with intense aromas reminiscent of Fernet Branca?! Concentrated but cooling red fruits. Unique, intriguing, one of rose oh my god wines keep surprising me moments. Great with a Bolognese from around the corner. — 3 months ago
Holy moly! I think this could be a top 20 of all time for only about $50. I have a few more bottles and I will treasure them. Incredible! This bottle made me sad because I knew while I was drinking it, but the moments would end. Bold mouth feel with soft tannins and yet it’s only five years old. You could pair this with an old shoe and it would still taste incredible. — 2 years ago
Slightly too old - which means, mysterious and sublime at moments and flat and stale at others. — 2 years ago
Popped and poured; no formal notes. As a long-time admirer of Laurence's Cuvée Réservée Rouge, this was my first time trying her Blanc. Admittedly, I have often struggled with white wines from the Rhône as they too often lack the acid I want. This is partly why I haven't made it a priority. However, I've had some very impressionable moments with well-aged Hermitage Blanc so I have remained open minded. Which leads me to this bottle of 2021 Cuvée Reservée Blanc; a blend of mostly Clairette with some Grenache blanc, Bourboulenc and a touch of Roussanne. From the very first smell, I was convinced that I had been clearly missing out. Beautifully perfumed with white flowers, cantaloupe, apricot and just a little citrus. This was so fresh, so sexy. It was equally sexy on the palate where all the notes were packaged in the most delightfully silky texture. The finish was long. It should be noted that we paired with rainbow trout, zucchini, summer squash topped with yuzu tobiko. This pairing slapped. Based off this experience, I would drink these now. That's not to say that they will be undrinkable with a few more years of age but I guess, why wait? The freshness is awesome and super compelling right now. — 2 years ago
My wife (Anne-Marie) celebrating her 45th here in Cabo San Lucas. Could not be happier to be spending these moments with my soul mate 😍🇲🇽 — 3 years ago

2021 vintage. Medium-heavy body. Chunky with moments of clarity and moments of chaos. When it rolls in at the resto price waay under $30, compelled to pick up 4 cases. A fave Italian producer and this does nothing to dispel those feelings. 01.15.25. — a month ago
