Light ruby colour with great purity on the palate with layers of berry flavours plus long moorish finish
Great expression of Mornington Pinot Noir — a month ago
A perennial favourite and always special. Nose and colour only hint at the depth and concentration of pure pinot goodness. Pure red and dark fruit wrapped in a shroud of prominent but fine tannin. Dark and brooding savoury spice. Exceptional length and juicy grip. Very fine — 2 hours ago
Light gold with a hint of green; explosive nose initially flinty and smoky that then speaks of Puligny; rich, silky, round palate with ripe, pit fruit and almost tropical notes with fine balancing acidity and finally a hint of oak. Impressive. — 12 days ago
Delicious balance, curry night with Audrey’s — 2 months ago
Brief notes. Another excellent example of Pinot Noir from the Applejack vineyard. Red fruited with strawberry and cherry. Definitely more fruit driven than the Wombat Creek which has more whole bunch in the ferment. The differences are more in wine making technique than in terroir I feel. Sexton possibly a bit of each. — 15 days ago
See previous note in June 2023 where I questioned the ripeness of the fruit. This has the trademark spice and pepper. Very little fruit, more savoury characters. From one of Australia’s leading cool climate wineries. As Jancis said, “a real sense of place “ - in this case the Macedon Ranges just north of Tullamarine Airport. Very different to SA Shiraz. Just medium bodied - a leathery note with balanced tannins. As in previous note a touch of astringency at the finish. — a month ago

Meaty, charcuterie notes together with black and blue fruits. The palate is rich and savoury - full bodied on the earthy spectrum with ripe plum. Bests are an under the radar Gem in the Grampians. It should be a regular purchase particularly at the price. An average price of around $30. — 17 days ago
