Drank at Christmas Eve Dinner at summit club with mom. Dark raspberry, slightly rich, medium-long finish. Excellent with prime rib. — 4 months ago
This was really nice, better than barbers d’asti? — a month ago
Barbera d’Asti achieved DOCG status in 2008. Warm vibrant Ruby color with a bouquet of berry fruit aromas and sweet perfumed herb spice. On the palate flavors of plum, cherry and blackberry with pepper and herbs, good structure, balanced with savory acidity and soft tannins. Medium+ finish ending with juicy fruit. Exceptional! Great Value! — 2 months ago
Excellent with pasta. I’m not a huge Italian wine person but this was great. — 10 months ago
The 2021 Barbera d'Alba Tre Vigne is a fabulous, explosive wine. Sumptuous dark cherry, ripe plum, mocha, licorice and new leather are all dialed up to the maximum. This racy, deep Barbera is tremendous. For its quality-to-price ratio, the Alba Tre Vigne might be the wine of the year at Vietti. $25.00 (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, February 2024) — 3 months ago
The bottle that put the winery on the map.
Compared to the Vietti bottling that got me hooked on Mascato d’Asti, this single Cru is more viscous and taste a bit sweeter. Certainly the acidity is there for balance. It was delicious and we were drinking too fast. Would be lovely to pair with some light desserts. Lemon pound cake maybe? — 10 months ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Medium Ruby with aromas of fresh berry fruits, floral and sweet spice. On the palate this medium body wine shows flavors of juicy blueberry and blackberry with notes of herbs and vanilla spice. Dusty tannin structure, lively acidity, medium ending with crisp fruit finish. Nice value. Drink now, consistent, no aging benefit. — 6 days ago
