Tasted blind nailed Meursault! (2019 village from high quality producer to be exact). 2020 village Roulot Meursault needs time to flesh out and a good decant but it’s a killer village wine to no surprise from the master JMR. — 10 months ago
Established in the village of Marsannay in the 1960's by Bernard Coillot, father of owner Christophe Coillot. Deep Ruby red color with aromas of berry fruit and gentle spice. On the palate flavors of cherry and blackberry with notes of fig, mushroom and spice. Fine soft tannins, long finish ending with fruit, spice and earthy mineral character. Nice! — 3 years ago

Quite light garnet core with a wide watery garnet rim . Quite reserved and closed at first , with light red currant , herbal wild strawberry , ripe red cherry and earthy , dry spices . On the palate this has quite a rustic , tannic profile for a simples Bourgogne Hautes Cotes de Nuits , with quite fresh acidity but has enough cool strawberry , raspberry , red currant and earthy sous bois to fill out on the palate . Balanced alcohol and reasonable length , with a hint of bitterness . Pretty old school and rustic in style but certainly individual and has personality. In this vintage at least there is just enough mid palate to deal with the extended aging in oak . This does need a little time to open up and requires food and arguably needs a little more time , though I do worry that with more time in bottle it will loose the little fruit that it still has . So drink now and over the next 5 years or so . Overall probably the best red I have had from Chateau de Villars Fontaine . — a year ago
Previous 2 bottles have had evidence of Brett. The Brett more noticeable on the nose than the palate. Still very drinkable - remember, it is Leroy. The following night the Brett much less noticeable. More savoury than fruit driven - a lovely texture and mouthfeel. All in all a good Village Bourgogne if not overpriced. — 3 years ago

Such a beautiful, silken, refined Volnay. Just ethereal. As this cuvée always is. — 8 months ago
village level with great tension, a bit high acid — 10 months ago
Pale bronze with effusive perlage and creaminess. The nose is simply gorgeous with red and green apples and almonds. Freshly toasted brioche bread with a dollop of cinnamon butter. Greenery and fresh red fruits. Stunning. I could just smell this for so long but I suppose I should taste it as well.
Pure Meunier from Cuisles. Disgorged in October of 2021 with no dosage. Terrific balance and structure here, as is the norm for all Moussé champagnes. From a perpetual reserve of wines that makes such a huge difference. The depth here is atypical.
Electric in the mouth. Great length. Minerality and purity on the tongue. A bit of citrus on first taste. Then the spice and fruit come in to play. Whenever I taste this I always think it’s my favorite Moussé champagne. And that’s saying a lot. — 3 years ago

This is such a cool Napa Cab, med plus body, med alcohol (13%), high acidity. But still a proper Cab. It’s elegant and well structured with bright fruit. So so pure, drinks well while young. — 6 months ago
