Stunning aromas of mid season cherry, some malted milk balls, gorgeous earth aromas and a firm mineral background. Really lovely pointed spice as well. Really expansive and so crystalline as 19 can be. So opulent in the mid palate but also allied with terrific energy and freshness. Luscious cherry fruit with great tang and chewiness Long, winding finish with even a bit of citrus Really gets to every nook and cranny. Superb stuff. Wow. — 2 months ago
Established in the village of Marsannay in the 1960's by Bernard Coillot, father of owner Christophe Coillot. Deep Ruby red color with aromas of ripe berry fruit and spice. On the palate flavors of ripe cherry and blackberry with notes of fig, mushroom and spice. Fine soft tannins, long finish ending with fruit, spice and earthy mineral character. Very Nice! — 7 months ago
There’s village and then there’s village. Gibourg made fabulous 2012’s and at age 12, the Vosne village is showing superbly, with seamless layers of fruit, mineral and spice, with the concentration of the vintage and the elegance and finesse of the site and winemaking yielding the perfect combination. In a great spot. — a day ago
Pnp beauty, completely open and giving wafting a distinctive Roumier raspberry and rose petal laced whole cluster perfume with a seductive and seamless palate with fine grained tannins and a long mineral inflicted finish. So much more accessible than 21’s right now which are far more closed and reductive. Last glass a couple hours open was just perfect Burgundy. Village at its finest. — 2 months ago
In the heart of the Chianti lies Estate of Sette Ponti, 15 miles northwest of the city of Arezzo, past village of San Giustino Valdarno. Has 10% Merlot, aged in French Allier barriques, deep Ruby with red fruit aromas and floral notes. On the palate blackberry, plum and cherry flavors with blossom notes, spice and fine integrated tannins. Good balance, long finish ending with some oak and mineral tones. Nice! Will age a bit! Tasting well now! — 8 days ago
Heavy yet fruity and chocolate notes. Very good table red. — a month ago
Carter White
A little less concentrated than some of the other Kumeu River wines, but still lively and has that same beautiful lemon cream. — 6 hours ago
