Very smooth, robust wine more earthy than fruit but bold like a NAPA Cab without the fruit bomb. The nose has a black fruit, earth smell and the finish is medium. But for the value you think you were drink a bigger Cab — a month ago
A very lively blackberry note coming from the nose and developing further on the palete. I'm also getting a bit of cedar and mintiness finishing with a spicy hot finish that really is quite nice. Only light tannin and the acidity is medium here, but the mouthfeel is substantial. I find that as I get more familiar with the native Portugese grapes, I think of them less as just components of port (which I'm far more familiar with) and more as components in these great table wines. This wine is labeled as organic as well. — 15 days ago
Hey Gentlemen wouldn't you just love it if your wives SUGGESTED That you consume a little wine each night to take the edge off!
Well this is what I am being told by my husband!!
He says I am bouncing off the walls with the daughter's wedding this Saturday!
Actually the whole event has been downsized and will be more intimate! ❤
This wine is a Costco bargain! A simple but really nice table wine; it was in the 2019 WE Best Buys! I have never had a wine from Portugal before! This wine is fruity and presents with low tannins, smooth as silk and huge smoke on the finish which I love! Not complex yet absolutely nothing offensive! — 11 days ago
Beautiful wine. Great with beef or rich meats. — 4 days ago

2019 vintage. Vulcanico is the entry level label for the Azores Wine Company. Heroic wine farming on infertile rocky volcanic soils where nothing else would grow with amazing results. This rosé is a multi-varietal field blend from grapes sourced from different growers. Very attractive nose combining fresh strawberries and red currants with flowers and iodine. Light and fresh with juicy red currant flavours, crispy acidity and a distinctive salinity and very good length. Amazing intensity of flavour with only 11,5 % abv. Fantastic value at 9,50 euros. Highly recommended. — 2 days ago

Opened for a friend that is a port fan, which I am not anymore. Smooth and silky, still a lot of fruit, tannins are easy on the palate, not too warm, surprisingly fresh, you don’t sense the 20% alcohol in there, was quite enjoyable with still some gas in the tank for a 23 yo wine.
— 8 days ago
