Created in 1981, Terre Alte is considered one of Italy's most prestigious white wines, blend of Friulano, Pinot Bianco and Sauvignon grapes, estate-grown at Rosazzo in the historic Terre Alte vineyards. Pale lemon yellow color with aromas of stone and tropical fruits and wonderful floral notes. On the palate flavors of apple, peach and slight lemon citrus with honey floral notes and lively acidity. Smooth finish ending with fruit and sweet mineral notes. Very nice! — 9 months ago
A great find! Dark Ruby color, no hints of bricking. Nice red fruits, good acid, a bit of mushroom/forest floor. — 3 months ago
Very smooth, no acidity, and crisp — 3 months ago
Not your average pinot grigio. Ton of energy. So much minerality. Excellent alongside seafood and the grand canal in Venice. — 6 months ago
Nice wine from Felluga - can’t go wrong. Celebrated Michi and Cyr — 2 years ago
2019 vintage. On the heels of the excellent 2015 and 2016 vintages, the acclaimed 2019 was already behind the 8-ball. After tasting approx 60-65 2019 Brunellos, they are good but generally lacking that extra level of oomph that the ‘15’s and ‘16’s have. This is an exception. Blind tasting it, woulda flagged it for 2015-2016. 8.28.24. — 3 months ago
The winery was founded in 1956, after Livio Felluga relocated from his native Istria, but the family's winemaking traditions date back to the mid-19th century. Livio Felluga is accredited with innovating and mastering modern wine making in Italy. Straw with tropical and sweet stone fruit aromas with hints of floral. Peach, mango and apricot flavors, somewhat savory. Medium finish ending with nutty mineral tones. — 4 months ago
Inky black with hardly any ageing on the rim.
Needs a bit of time to blow the age stink off… the shows ripe dark fruit, some kirsch, but also some age sowing with balsamic notes, a bit leather & roast.
On the palate this is not shy, full bodied, quite powerful, with still quite a tannic frame. Big, rich & ageing… which actually makes it interesting.
Quite nice with a simple barbecue. — a year ago
