October 18, 2023. Purchased at the vineyard July 2021 — a very special tasting experience! Enjoyed with dinner — wild Alaska sockeye salmon and potatoes al gratin. Lovely expression of Williamette Pinot. Complex flavors of red fruit with a hint of mushroom. NOTE: This review is for Bergstrom Temperance Hill Vineyard, Oregon Pinot Noir Pinot — 3 years ago
2021 vintage.
94 % Pinot Gris, 4 % Chardonnay and 2 % Muscat.
This was the year of the heat dome in British Columbia. Plus 40 degrees Centigrade in the Okanagan Valley for a week. Not fun.
This wine is pale straw yellow in colour with lovely flavours of white peach, melon and citrus rind.
Light bodied with medium acidity.
We had Albacore Tuna Sashimi, grilled Ling Cod and BBQ Sockeye Salmon bellies (all local and freshly caught) with this wine.

Pineapple lemon aroma’s with light stone fruit intensity and flavors. Mild acidity. Matches raw sockeye dipped in@Tamarin — 4 years ago
Nearly the color of wild-caught sockeye salmon. On the nose, strawberry, spring flowers, and ripe apricot. On the palate, Ranier cherry pith, strawberry, watermelon, and kiwi. A rather substantial body with fabulous texture. Low tannin; medium + acid. The finish is looooong and with a flourish of minerals. Between Pradeaux and Tempier, you can’t chose wrong. Regardless, I want more of this in my life! Drink now or hold until 2025. — 5 years ago
December wine, paired with pan seared Pacific sockeye salmon. — 6 months ago
We checked with Marichel and they suggested we finish the 2013s. Last night we made a grilled sockeye salmon and enjoyed this last vintage. Jess wrote the tasting notes: Colour—showing an elegant tawny sheen in the decanter, deepening to reveal a deep pool of rich burgundy in the glass.
Nose—Everything all at once and warming the nostrils swiftly! Richly stewed plums and bright current overtones with an edge of just sliced green pepper. Dark chocolate with violet petals and granny’s Christmas fruitcake. Hint of earth, wood chips, a drop of orange bitters.
Palate — rich brambly fruit, light oak with faint menthol, cherry cola bright note, lingering savoury notes of leather and cranberry, silky tannins, subtle body. — 3 years ago
Top 5 wine from @Larry Schaffer in my opinion. The fruit sings in this bottle!! Paired with a Sockeye Salmon Salad — 6 years ago
Classic Pinot and perfect with grilled Alaskan sockeye salmon and ahi tuna. — 5 months ago
Paired perfectly with sockeye salmon and a summer dinner in the back deck.
Super smooth and some nice strawberry and floral flavors coming out. — a year ago
Blend of Mourvèdre (high percentage), Grenache, Cinsault and Uni Blanc. Beautiful sockeye salmon color. Floral, spicy and citrusy on the nose. Flavors of apricot, red berries, pomegranate, orange zest, watermelon and fresh herbs. Beautiful minerality and saltiness on the finish and a crisp and chalky texture. Powerful! — 3 years ago
2020 vintage.
Weather was exceptional that summer in Okanagan Valley British Columbia.
Dark ruby colour with cherry, floral and earthy notes on the nose.
Ripe black cherry and berry flavours, dark cocoa, silky tannins and a crisp uplifting finish with a hint of citrus.
Put Sockeye Salmon on the BBQ with this Pinot Noir. — 4 years ago
Excellent wine to pair with wild caught Sockeye salmon. — 5 years ago
Not too strong, nicely balanced - leather, cedar, touch of smoke. Pairing with smoked sockeye and acorn squash. Works well — 5 years ago
50/50 blend of Pinot Blanc and Pinot Meunier. Yellow tinged with pink, excellent clarity. Floral, honeyed nose with a hint of mint but mostly dry in mouth, appley (malic-citric crisp), calcium-mineral finish. Austere wine and low alcohol (9.5% alc/vol). Would pair great with seafood, but did not go that well with black bean and ginger sockeye salmon (but no wine goes with black bean sauce, right? A malty German lager, maybe... ) But an hour later, creaminess emerges in the finish, along with moderate skin astringency. Nice complexity, if you are willing to wait for it — 6 years ago

Beautifully perfumed flower and sweet red fruits, the flavors show the red fruit as well, very well-balanced, soft tannins, close to mature, long, lingering finish, really a beautiful aged Oregon Pinot Noir that will pair wonderfully with the wild Copper River sockeye salmon!! — 6 days ago
