Last bottle of the ‘18. It’s pretty much at its peak. Intense limestoney minerality balanced by just enough ripe fruit green apple/citrus pith fruit. A very subtle green herbal note in the background. Round-textured in the mouth initially, u til the intense minerality puts on its geology show-and-tell. Nice acids. A pleasant mouthful of rocks, basically. — 2 months ago

What I didn’t realize until this week is when I bought this 2013, Sofia & I tasted this with Roger in his cellar before it received the label shown in this post in 2015.
This was $25 on release and it is beautiful tonight as it was last weekend.
Ripe, juicy; blackberries, black raspberries, black plum, purple fruits, blueberries & some dark cherries. Grilled meats, light black pepper, dry galet stones, spice, dry top soil, dry tobacco, used leather, slightly moist volcanic mineral mixed w/ clay, sandalwood, dry & withering dark, red & purple florals, rainfall acidity, a well balanced, nicely structured, beautifully tensioned, balanced, elegant finish that last two-minutes and lands on minerality and florals.
Photos that Sofia & I took in 2015, wood vats, my backside looking at cement tanks, estate vineyard and their facility building. — 5 months ago
At 20 years old and still showing nicely. No signs of heat from the vintage — 11 days ago
Just delicious on this outrageously hot evening. Pristinely pure strawberry and cherry fruit on the nose, with a fair whack of crushed rock. Crisp and flavorful in the mouth, with good intensity and freshness. Good acids and an attractive micro-note of bitterness at the tail end. IMHO, well-made Sancerre rose is the pinnacle of rose. — 21 days ago

Crisp, toasty, rich and lingering. Its light pale color belies the aged power within. Fragrant and zesty. This is a great one and in prime drinking territory. — 8 days ago
