"Reverdon" Brouilly Gamay 2021

Bright garnet color with some periwinkle highlights. Aromas of red and black berry fruit, forest floor, violets and baking spices. Flavors of sour wild strawberries, currants, cherries and plums. Additional flavors of cloves, cardamom along with a distinct mineral note. Slight bit of black pepper on the medium-plus finish. No sign of oak aging. (Concrete?) Bright acidity, medium bodied and ultra soft/silky tannins. Wonderful balance. So cheerful, mellow and easy to drink. Great pairing with a wide array of foods. — 2 days ago

very pleasant, elegant, all kinds of cherry, raspberry and red currant on nose, some red florals, spice and an herbal note. great varietal typicity w/out carbonics - legit, classic style, has many more years ahead, mild tannins and decent acidity make this versatile for food options — 21 days ago

@ESF, I am a fan of this wine, cannot recall if I’ve had the 2019, but often find this cuvée on the discount shelves 4-6 years after the vintage, and it never seems to disappoint. Cheers!

This aged Beaujolais is just gorgeous, crushed red berries, minerals, floral, great acidity, long, lingering finish, could easily evolve another 5 years in a cold cellar, truly an outstanding wine from a great Beaujolais vintage!! — a month ago
