Saturday lunch at home with friends. All tasters very impressed with this Village Bourgogne from the 2014 vintage which was excellent for whites. Great intensity and tension for a village wine. Good minerality. No time for detailed notes. Went well with fresh Tasmanian oysters. — 21 days ago
Would never have guessed pacalet or 2009. Really good. — a month ago

Still a very robust wine. Not in the least past its prime. There’s a lot of fruit left, but there’s also a lot of oak., even after 26 years. This has dried out the wine a little bit. Don’t make too much out of my criticism. The wine is very enjoyable, so the bottle was finished without any complaints from my friends at the table.

Decent mid-weight white burgundy, but not all that exciting. Clean, crisp, nicely balanced but with absolutely no “wow”. You have to question the price/quality ratio with wines of this type. Kiss of death is almost no sense of “terroir” or place—- just another dry white! — 20 days ago
Drinking my way through all of Philippe’s wines...again another good consistent Friday night drink — a month ago
Lighter ruby vs 16. White limestone, fresh chalky, lots of fruit, grows on slope, 70 yo vines. Very sunny — a month ago
