A bit sharp and onedimensional.. — a year ago
A really fine Pomerol. Drinking beautifully. 2016Guest returned it for being “sharp and tangy.” Well, no. It’s just great. Classic rich red fruit with nice and sure pronounced acidity. Lovely. — 2 years ago
I love 21. Utterly classic but young nose of red berries, granite and a youthful grapiness. Some florals as well but a bit of a monolith aromatically out of the gates. More notes later as it opens up on the nose. Palate is so elegant my goodness and has that youthful grapiness. Huge red and darker berry fruit, perfect balance, clarity and purity. So juicy and clean but young but obviously very high quality. More notes as it evolves. Nose now closed at 3 hours but palate has gained finesse and it’s ultra juicy and pure. Finish is clipped but this is the whole package. This has a semi opulent midpalate one can get lost in. Wow. Incredible decadent Pomerol (lafleur?) fruit. Just insane. So elegant. This is the best Burgaud ever. — 3 years ago
Really good Lalande de Pomerol from the Guinaudeau family. Its now called Les Perrieres de Lafleur, an allusion to the fact the vines are from Lafleur’s “selection massale”. Nose of floral notes, very precise sculpted mouth of dark berries and “rose fannee”, great acidity and balance, ends on tobacco notes. Its very accessible now but lors of potential to age. Great bottle and the quality price ratio is hard to beat ! — 7 years ago

5.000 bottles produced from the two plots (one nxt to the church and the other in front of Lafleur Petrus).
Takes some coxing to open up on the nose. Fragrant and deep, nice body on the mouth. Strict and fine on the mouth covering a beautiful world that will be revealed with time.. 93+ — a year ago
Tasted blind. It was evident that this was mature Bordeaux at its finest quality level from an excellent vintage. The absence of brettanyomces and a right bank aroma profile pointed towards Lafleur or Petrus. Deliciously ripe and dried red fruits mingle with black truffle, cocoa powder, forest floor and cigar box. Gently caressing the palate, the 1970 Château Petrus delivers a full-body, velvety tannins, a core of dried red fruits and a long, lingering finish. Probably slightly past it's peak, but still spectacular. Drink now. — 4 years ago
#dfwe2019 — 7 years ago
Blends perfectly with grilled meat and spicy food. A must try. — 7 years ago
Beautiful wine that I have never tried before. Still very lively for being 31 years old with a strong tannic backbone. Drunk blind I was convinced this was a Barolo 🤦...didnt cover myself in glory with that guess! Served with steak, bernaise and french fries — 6 months ago
Dark rubi robe with no signs of its age. A very complex and profound nose of dark cherries, flowers, blackcurrant and anise. In the mouth its ethereal and elegant, ready and will last some time still. Excellent second wine Lafleur, the greatest Pomerol there is. — a year ago
Well it’s the Acte 8, but that’s close to 9😉 in this price range it’s for me a steal. From a winemaking dreamteam comes this great bottle full of excellent wine, full bodied and fleshy stuff. Cool tannins and a bright future, if you find it just buy it and consider yourself lucky. — 2 years ago
The 2020 Bellegrave is well-defined and poised on the nose, blackberry and briary, hints of truffle unfolding with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a graphite-infused entry. Quite solid and structured, almost like a "mini-Lafleur", with a well-defined and persistent finish that has splendid mineralité. Very fine. (Neal Martin, Vinous, February 2023) — 3 years ago
This is one of the first few vintage of what is now known as Les Perrières de Lafleur. It has a clear frame of cabernet to it with the dark fruit, tobacco and leather notes. Round, medium bodied, balanced and punches above its price point. Drinks excellent now. — 5 years ago
The Guinaudeau family has started this wine few years ago. Young vines that came from Chateau Lafleur. As a matter of fact in 2018 its called “Les Perrerieres de Lafleur”. Great blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Dark rubi robe, dark berries nose, very polished tannins on a medium length medium body wine with good acidity and support to the fruit concentration. Hold for 4 to 5 years. One of the best new wines we have tried in a while. Highly recommended ! — 7 years ago

Nice second wine from pomerol! My understanding is that this is 54/46 Merlot / cab franc. You certainly get the cab franc characteristics on the nose and palate. Just starting to veer into secondary but still has great primary fruit with a nice vein of acid cutting through everything. Opened 4 hours and decanted 1 hour before which was the right call. Very nice pairing with double R ranch prime strip steaks on a blizzard day in nyc. — 5 months ago
