Viña Tondonia Rioja Rosé Blend 2009

Color of dried orange peel or Hot Tamales. Beautiful little firecracker.

Smells oxidized, though crisp in the mouth. A duality of candy and fresh fruit, like biting into a caramel apple. Deep, and whole, and very appley indeed. Also dried apricots and butterscotch and fresh peach.

A deep, complex wine that could go the million and one directions of a human mind.

Super interesting. Not as acidic and complex. Beautiful on the nose. Straddling between orange and white. — 14 days ago

Arboreus Umbria IGT Trebbiano 2015

Excellent orange / skin maceration wine with some age on it. Enjoyed at Monterey in midtown with tonight’s special Lobster El Diablo (spicy tomato sauce with 3lb lobster flambéed in tequila). Good acidity and some good flavor with the spice. — 2 months ago

Enderle & Moll

Weiss & Grau Burgunder Weißburgunder Grauburgunder 2022

Very accessible orange wine without any hint of being overly “natural”. Crisp and the bit of skin contact gives it just enough body and texture to be interesting. — 3 months ago

PnP. Classic cloudy orange color. Oak and cedar well integrated with orange and citrus flavors. This is really good. Even a nice sweetness on the finish. — a month ago

Château d'Yquem

Sauternes Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend 1986

Golden , orange tinged centre , lemon yellow rim . Very aromatic, clementines, orange rind , saffron , creme brûlée , caramel. On the palate rich and intense but with very good balance from fresh acidity . Orange syrup , saffron creme brûlée with a slight burnt caramel touch on the finish . Long and powerful , this is ready but will carry on at this level for another 10-20 years — 2 months ago
