Per Bianca of PBB: Wines from this part of the world always have this really lovely tropical fruitmeets tropical fruit blossom meets ripping minerality kind of profile, which I absolutely love. Chenin Blanc is almost synonymous with the Loire Valley, but Chenin from the warmer area of the Rousillon takes on a whole other character. This wine is fresh and very aromatic, beautifully bright, floral and fruity, with notes of white peach, ripe lemon, apples and salt. A bit medium bodied but a really lovely mineral finish, making it a great wine to go with raw seafood, Nikkei cuisine (Itamae or B-Side for my Miami people!) or pickled veggies as an aperitivo snack. Drink within the next 3 weeks before the first day of fall to keep the summer energy going. — 2 months ago
