Didn’t like it at first, after tasting other wines. Really grew on me. Tastes like papaya. — 4 months ago

Amazing consistency, oxidative notes with apricots and apple cider. On the palate, green apples , sherry notes and citrus zest. What separated the bottles were the various levels of freshness. All were enjoyable but none had that “wow” factor. My rating is a composite.

Bin 8 South Australia Cabernet Shiraz 2017

Vintage 2017 | a pretty marriage imo. Fruitiness of Cabernet, warmth and spicyness of Syrah | paired wonderful with beef from bbq and Cantonese style egg plant — 4 months ago

@Timothy Lynch There has been a lot of very good wine made in Australia since producers stopped chasing Parker points many years ago.

Château Montrose

Saint-Estèphe Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2012

Medium deep ruby , medium wide ruby rim. Slightly more generously fruited , compared to the 2011 . Blackcurrant , cassis, touches of spice , less austere or mineral . Quite round and ripe , rich on the mid palate , but without a lot of tannic structure , balanced acidity. Decent length , with a touch more tobacco and saline quality on the finish. This is drinking well now and will continue to show well over the next 8-10 years or so — 7 months ago

Chappellet

Signature Donn Chappellet Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Primarily Cabernet Sauvignon (77%) with the balance being a blend of Petite Verdot (12%), Malbec (8%) and Merlot (3%). Aromas of blueberries, kirsch, violets, forest floor and cedar wood. Well integrated flavors of blackberry, blueberry, black cherry, chocolate, tobacco, and graphite. Beautiful notes of vanilla, wild herbs and clay on the long and earthy finish. Amazing complexity and balance! Medium-plus bodied. Beautiful creamy texture and velvety tannins. So good for being so young. Looking forward to trying this wine again in a few years. Thank you so much for sharing this one, Keith S! — a month ago
