The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Peter Martin Ray Vineyard is stellar. This super-classic, old-school Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet is pure magic. Black cherry, cloves, licorice, scorched earth, incense tobacco and saddle leather infuse the 2018 with fabulous depth. Potent and virile, the Cabernet is going to need at least a few years to settle down. It’s a stunning wine in every way. Ceritas fans will surely be delighted to learn that the Cabernet offerings here will soon expand to include a number of new bottlings. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, June 2022)

Ahhh. Been a while since i’ve tasted a Müllen THKF. 2015? Maybe? Nose is ethereal and heavenly. Huge spice and earth. Tons of intense wet dripping minerals. Lovely peach. Vulcanized rubber. Sea breeze. The spice on this is just beyond. Wow this is stunning. So sleek, so refined, that little bit of sugar is just incredible. A kiss of sugar. Perfect balance. Amazing peach clarity here. Extraordinary concentration and density but light as a feather. Brilliant. Hidden structure that suggests decades ahead. Now the nose has lime blossom. And citrus blossom. What a core! This is an incredible wine. — 4 days ago
I’m not much of a rose drinker, so I have precious little as a point of reference. This wine had some effervescence to it in the mouth, crisp yet also decent mid-palate viscosity and richness. I’d call it a tart finish, not comparable to fruit I recognize. It was Memorial Day and the conveyance was a blue plastic cup. — a month ago
A Mosel Frankenstein brought to life with with ample voltage, this will stamp the memory bank as a beautifully bizarre bag of parts.
Suggestively sweet, but not cloying. Perfumes of clean lemon zest and orange marmalade that hit you like little nasal daggers and then settle in over time. Viscous thick texture through some combination of 13.5% alcohol and a few grams of residual sugar hiding in the acidic current. Flavors of both sweet and sour - fresh apricots and starfruits, drizzled all over in spiced honey.
So absurdly wonderful it has me wondering what else is possible? — 8 days ago
Nose is mineral. Profoundly so.
Palate is mineral. Hint of grapefruit. So liquid mineral. Silky. great. — 7 days ago

Wow. Nose is the most vivid peach ever. Creamy as well. Stunning mineral depth. Sea air. Ocean Breeze. Slate galore. Insane mineral depth. The nose is so deep. My goodness. Stunning layering. Crunchy and concentrated. Wow. This is genius. So elegant, crunchy, concentrated and pure. Essence of Kabinett. Long as the day is in late June. Just beautiful. Structured and deep. Sappy and pure. Amazing flavorful. Stone fruits. What a long wine. Almost perfect. The balance here is amazing. Kab Trocken so hard to pull off and Martin does it as good as anybody. Yup this is a 9.6. Wow!
As this airs the nose gets more mineral and the peach blends much more with the slatey minerals. Herbs as well. This is mindblowing Kabinett. This is so juicy and joyous. This will go down almost too easy. — 4 days ago
