Lytton Springs Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel Blend 2018

2018. Probably my favorite Ridge Zinfandel that I’ve had. Could be that I found it in Delta Junction and wasn’t expecting it to be this delicious, or that it paired great with our homemade chicken parmigiana. — a month ago

Lytton Estate Dry Creek Valley Grenache Blend Rosé 2023

Incredibly light in color, crystalline and clear, but with surprisingly a bigger body than one would expect from looking at it, this is a very mature rose for being so young. It also required quite a bit of time to open up, being very austere at first, and needing at least 30 minutes to bloom. The nose is VERY complex. At first you come to it and its floral with a hint of citrus, and then it begins to evolve into honeycrisp or pink lady apple, some slightly ripe, almost meaty undertones, a mineral freshness polished it all off at the end. The palate is very dry, but not acidic, with a roundness and fullness to the body that’s surprising considering the color. Silky fruit and florals on the front, spreading out to a paper like dryness, that then evolves further into more candied, riper berry fruit. The mid-palate features some strangely vegetal notes, almost like celery, with a looong finish of fruit, like slightly underripe strawberry. Really one of the most complex roses I’ve had from the U.S. — 2 days ago

Lytton Estate Dry Creek Valley Petite Sirah Zinfandel 2017

Vintage 2017 | Petite Shiraz tasted blind next to Touriga National. Inkty colour, more spices in smell than fruit imo. Nice concentrate, beautiful balance. WOTN. — 2 months ago

Lovely candied redfruits and some floral notes as well, fruit is nicely surrounded by some oak notes, soft tannins, very good acidity, long, lingering finish, very fine Oregon Pinot Noir!! — 2 months ago

Evening Land Vineyards

Seven Springs Vineyard Pinot Noir 2022

I really like what Evening Land does in general and their Pinots in particular. Lovely nose with some good cherry. Balanced mouthfeel with good dark red fruit and some nice herby notes. Acid is medium but works well to hold it together and the persistence is good. Really quite enjoyable. — 23 days ago

Super intense. Freash passion fruit on the nose. Major fruit palate. An achievement in that way. Great value too. — 2 months ago
