Clear, pale ruby to purple in color; on the nose, it's clean with pronounced primary aromas of raspberries, hibiscus, and fresh strawberries, on the palate, it's dry with medium plus acidity, high tannins, medium alcohol, light body, and pronounced primary flavors of sour cherries, black tea, and pomegranates with a long finish. 2010 vintage. Not a fave producer by any means but a fave plot. Opened and decanted with a small amount of sed. Verry aromatic throughout. Didn't want to open this but the other/first red Burg offering/option was underwhelming so this got pressed into service. Light medium/medium body. Plenty of complexities in both the nose and mouth. Excellent acidity baseline to administrate the proceedings. This can easily go another decade. Didn't have enough time to experience this properly unfolding but the time that was spent was thoroughly enjoyable. 10.2.26. — 17 days ago

Opened three days earlier. The 2023 pours a deep ruby/purple color with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with significant staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with powerful notes of ripe brambles, lavender pastilles, bacon fat, black pepper, and fine baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. A delightful pairing with Bison ribeye.
