TW (?) Had with Christmas dinner 2023 with a roast beef . . . was excellent!! Not sure how long it had been in the wine bar but it was a great pic! — 4 months ago
Fortuna Terrae means luck of the land in Latin, aged in oak for 18 months, deep inky Ruby color with complex aromas of berry fruits, floral, herbs and spicy nose. On the palate flavors of ripe blueberry and cherry fruit with spicy herb, cacao, vanilla and toasty oak. Fine soft chalky tannins, well balanced, good acidity, long finish, almost creamy, ending with fruit, spice and earthy notes. Will last for a decade!! — 5 months ago
2015 vintage. Nice. A little less dry and peppery than my ideal, but good — 3 months ago
Unfortified, aged under flor single vintage and single vineyard Palomino Fino.
Closer to Jura in character than a ‘usual’ solera aged Fino.
Fresh, vibrant, racy. Clearly oxidative with yeasty & chalky notes, dried herbs but also some shy pear. And loads of salt!
On the palate this is crisp, fresh, bone dry and mineral. Powerful yet with nice freshness & balance. Chalky, salty, with some pears wrapped in bacon, olive brine and whiff of chamomile in the long finish.
I was not convinced upon opening and on day 1. The day after this is very, very drinkable. Bring on the tapas!

Light, crisp, fruit forward, resembles a Sauvignon Blanc instead of a Chardonnay despite being aged in French oak barrels. — 7 months ago
My word - this is nearly perfect! Mature and perfect on the nose, robust & sturdy on the palette. Smooth finish with old world French notes, but in a smoother less heavy yet still flavourful Italian style. Sips well alone or with a meal. Just wow! — 3 months ago

Big aroma of dark dusty berries. Dry light sour cherries and berries upfront. Ends with a dry tannic dusty finish. Classic Italian montepulciano . From the QR code “ For Zaccagnini wine is a cult summarized in the “tralcetto”, the stick of vine placed on his bottles, which has become a symbol of excellence, passion and love for art and wine.” — 6 months ago
Medium ruby in color; cherries, black pepper, and smoke on the nose; high acidity; medium tannins; tastes like sour cherries, clay pots, and strawberries with a long finish. It really opened up after decanting for about an hour. Nellie says she likes the flavor, but it's really acidic. Should be great with a creamy pasta. I agree it's too acidic without food. — 8 months ago
