Had the 2023 in January of 2025. First sip out of the glass was strange. Kind of sour fruit, butter and wood. Gave it time to breathe and swirled in the glass and then it was really good. Light fruits- dark cherry and blackberry. Hints of wood and leather in the finish. I always tend to jump right in. Have a decanter but don’t always head to it based on other people’s comments, I probably should have! But time in the glass was kind. Was a very interesting wine that I would love to have again. — a year ago
Yum! In fact, yum, yum, yum. Excellent California Cab that is the quintessential iteration of the region and why CaliCab has become so popular. I would drink this anytime, anywhere with any red, roasted meats, hard cheeses and crusty breads. Excellent wine. — 6 years ago
I really like this dry, bright Pinot Grigio—so good with pasta with basil pesto, or garlic and oil with veggies. — 6 years ago
Sometimes when writing I spread all my notes on the floor before me and embark on assembling something reasonable. Ca’Rozzeria is fabulous wine assembled from the metaphorically discarded to the floor goods of good producers. But the trimmings are from good producers that are loathe to part with them. And I hope my words are occasionally decent. I would not call it classic Barolo but I would say it’s fantastic Nebbiolo and the price is stupid good. Okay actually structure/flavors? I’d almost guess it was Sangiovese if blinding. Ripe cherries, green herbs, balsamic vinegar...less rose more violet. 2012 was a year of leaner Barolo. Less tannins than I’d expect than Barolo but that’s totally cool seeing as I’m drinking this sitting on my kitchen floor working. — 8 years ago

Good Barolo but nothing special. Reasonably priced and a good value at $35. Tastes like Barolo should taste. — 4 months ago
Medium purple in color; raspberries, cherries, and dried herbs on the nose; low acidity; medium minus tannins; tastes like tart cherry jolly ranchers, raspberry sauce, and black tea with a long fruity finish. There may be a little residual sugar in this wine, but it's still very good. It's easy drinking for anyone that likes sour candies. It could use a little more acidity. Nellie doesn't like it because it's sour. I love it. — 2 years ago
It's a great, refreshing Sangiovese. If you like chianti, you'll love this. It's packed with flavor, but it's light and easy drinking and fruity with enough spice and herbs to balance it. I feel like I could take wine from the porch to the dining table to the couch.
Color: A dark clear Ruby color that goes kinda purple in color
Aroma: It's a strong fruity forward aroma that I easily smelled through my N95 mask (probably a knock off). It's a delicious and enticing aroma. I get dark fruits like sour cherry, some plum, and subtle nutty notes. It has a fruit forward aroma with some juiciness. It's a very inviting aroma.
Taste: Delicious. Reminds me od chianti which makes sense since many chiantis are Sangiovese. It's light and savory with some spice and herbs like parsley. It's finishes smooth with a slightly lingering finish that dusts the tongue and coats the mouth. There's plum flavours, some cherry, some spiciness, some herbaceous parsley Ness. It has good acid and low tannins. — 4 years ago
I love an orange wine? — 6 years ago
Not the best barolo I’ve ever had, but it’s very pleasant one. This wine needs a decantation, but it’s obvious. An hour after it presents itself with a gentle nose of a leather, some vanilla (maybe from a barrel, I cannot decide) and a red currant. I think, maybe it’s still too young - because of high acidity. — 6 years ago
Excellent Chianti. Best served on the vineyard, but still delicious. — 8 years ago
Everything I want in a crisp red wine. — 8 years ago
94+ take everything you like about a great Chianti Classico and turn it up a notch or 2 but it still maintains grace and elegance. This is technically their Riserva as it was called that previously but they pulled out of the Consorzio. — 8 months ago
One of the wines that was most often awarded Tre Bicchieri throughout the years by Gambero Rosso. I can certainly see why. Fruit is still kicking, but at this stage it takes the backseat to complex savory and earthy notes with touch of smoke and red floral.
Rich and velvety on the palate. Candied long finish.
A blend of Cab, Cab Franc and Merlot. — 3 years ago
Dark ruby coloration. On the nose, amareno cherry, vanilla, oak, espresso and leather. On the palate, cherry, florals, Espresso, chocolate, full bodied, with a long finish. A nice representation of amarone and the type of wine I could have daily. Also a great bargain. — 3 years ago
Från tre riktigt gamla vingårdar i Franschhoek. Planterade 1902, -36 och 42. Väldigt potent och koncentrerad. Frukten är lite kartig. Gul frukt, vitt te, zest, blöta stenar. Skulle nog behöva drickas om 5-10 år. Alldeles för ung nu. — 5 years ago
Är det kallt eller är det kallt efter tre timmar i kylen? Är det gott eller är det gott? Somrigt och prisvärt. Citrus och äppelcider. — 6 years ago
The CA red blends tend to, well, blend together. This one manages to stand out, I think on the strength of the syrah. Heavy, with a strong bark, earthy note, carrying through to pepper on the palate. High alcohol. Not subtle, but well done at $24. — 7 years ago
Cherry blossoms on the nose. Really a more floral aroma than I was expecting. Easy and goes down smooth. Some hints of spice but lots of bright, red, ripe fruit. Cherry and some hints of strawberry. Nice work. — 8 years ago
