My first gisela. Electrifying, pure and very intense. Ultimate interplay of sweetness and acidity. This will morph into something special in the future. — 4 months ago
Recommended at Flatiron Wines. Love their Riesling, New York, and pet nat selection as well as their staff. Really great spot overall. Always find interesting wines here.
Super zingy and refreshing and tart, green apples, but also leafy. Actually hard to explain, but it’s just good, and interesting. — 2 months ago
"Slow Decanting" this young spatlese over a couple of weeks with the Vinloq System
DAY 1
👃Careens from the chilled bottle with limes and apples plus minerality & petrol
👅Sweetness leads. Fruit, florals and acidity follow. The minerality is there for the finish. The acidity is fresh and palate cleaning. Lip smacking, if you will
The remaining wine was Slow Decanted for 18 days in my refrigerator
DAY 18
This hasn't budged during the interim. Apple, peach, pear with lime on the finish. The standard hallmarks of Falkenstein are present with the extra midpalate density seen in so many 2019
German riesling. Classy. Fresh. Clean
This 2019 is just getting started. It is delicious in this youthful, energetic state. I cannot wait to see where this goes as it develops over time in the cellar.

Pooneet K
Nice and quite Apple-y. Acid is there, but not at all overwhelming. Quite balanced in general. Good full mouthfeel while still being light on its feet. — 19 days ago
