2018 vintage. Léoville-Poyferré-involved concern. 73% Malbec 18% Cabernet Sauvignon 5% Petit Verdot 3% Syrah 1% Cab Franc. 100% delicious. Medium/medium-heavy body. Nice balance of grip/zip and sleeko suave. Can hold its own in a street fight now or be the scheduled, 12-round, main event in 2040-your choice. $28.85 resto cost on 3 cases. 14.5% ABV. Definite big red blend value contender. 04.13.25. — 8 months ago
Terrific blend of Syrah, Grenache Noir and Mourvèdre. Elegant on the palate with blackberry, strawberry, raspberry, black cherry, red currant, violet, licorice and cedar. Just starting to show tertiary notes of leather, game and forest floor. Medium silky tannins and while the abv is 15% the wine doesn’t feel hot and has beautiful balance and an embracing, long finish. Great balance and finesse. Drinking beautifully now with 5-10 years ahead of it. — 3 months ago
Still with Violet. But ok to drink. Of course still solid. But not so tannic and acidic. Black currant, oak, leather. Good balanced. 20 @, Vin, 240928 — a year ago

2017 vintage. I love my white Graves (and especially Pessac-Léognan) with some bottle age, and this 2017 Ferrande is absolutely lovely. Exotic and mineral at the same time, with subtle hints of honey and beeswax. A round mouthfeel with exotic fruit like pineapple, enhanced by fresh acidity and a lovely spiciness. Terrific value. Highly recommended if you love more evolved Bordeaux whites. Abv. 13%. — 15 days ago
