Tasted at the maison, the 2015 is rich, dense and explosive, with tremendous textural intensity and also a good bit of energy to back it up. Citrus confit, spice, ginger, chalk and dried flowers abound in a Champagne endowed with tremendous aromatic presence in a style that offers notable richness, but lighter than vintages such as 2012. There is a bit of the savoriness that is such a signature of the year, but it is nicely integrated in the wine’s fabric. Two later tastings in my office strongly suggest the 2015 has already started to shut down a bit, which is a shame, as it may be hard to read for some time to come. Dosage is 7 grams per liter. Disgorged: November 2022. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, May 2023) — 3 days ago
Citrus in he nose, citrus, tangerine, apricots and oranges in the palate. Great by itself or with pasta with tomatoes, arugula and seared tuna — 7 days ago
Straw lemon colour. Notes of roast almonds , confit lemon , white flowers and oyster shell. On the palate very refined but quite rounded , creamy texture, with ripe yellow fruits, roast nuts , mineral notes on the long satisfying nutty finish . Good acidity and balance . This seems pretty young still , probably will improve over the next 5 -7 years and plateau a further 10 — a month ago
To celebrate my 20,000 Vivino followers, here is a gorgeous wine.
A very pretty color of deep gold.
Wonderful nose of honey, citrus, yellow apples, melons, pears, tropical fruits, spices, light earth and white flowers.
Full bodied and very smooth with high acidity.
Sweet on the palate with honey, citrus, red apples, tropical fruits, spices, maple syrup and minerals.
Long finish with lemons and spices.
This is a delicious sweet wine from Bordeaux. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Showing great complexity at this point. Loved the nose, and kept smelling on it for a while. Really pretty.
Very well balanced with enough sugar for the acidity. So delicious now.
This 18 year old will continue to age nicely in the next 25 years.
A great wine from a great vintage. Buttery and creamy. Spicy and entertaining. A wonderful wine.
I've had a few different vintages of this wine, and it is always amazing.
Thank you Scott for sharing this gem with me.

Rich and beautiful color and taste. Much more than a Pinot Noir than most are used to; than I expected. Great legs. Having for brunch with Scottish salmon. Would definitely order again — 21 days ago
