Great examplar of the old school Barolo…decanted 90 mins….seriously pungent/truly gorgeous nose, more refined on the palate but lots of fruit, still a bit wooden/tannic - not offensively so but could probably mellow another 5 years. Compared to the Domenico Clerico Barolo Ciabot Mentin Ginestra this still had plenty going on and I think would have gotten better with more time. Some berries and tar stood out but busy evening.
