Another Grand Cru from the Burgundy Dinner in Sydney 6 weeks ago. This from the 2000 vintage. Sketchy notes at best. Not as impressive as I was expecting given the producer and the vineyard. Still very savoury and deep finishing with that silky palate. Not as impressive as the Rousseau’s I’ve had from the same vineyard. — 11 days ago

Light medium ruby , wide pink rim . Fresh rose , raspberry , strawberry with hints of hedgerow. On the palate mostly ripe , light red fruits , strawberry and raspberry mostly with good freshness and just a hint of spice . Ripe but lightly gritty tannins, fresh sappy acidity . Medium length . Lovely now and over the next 5-8 years . Not complex or thought provoking but pure , fresh and enjoyable. — 2 months ago
