#AgedWineTuesday
Dark ruby in color with a cloudy reddish/ brick rim.
Earthy nose and medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing black currants, plums, cooked cherries, earth, wet leaves, herbs, light vegetables, coffee, eucalyptus, mediterranean spices and peppercorn.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 28 year old is still drinking very nicely. A great Second Growth Bordeaux.
Good right out of the bottle, and better after 45 minutes of airtime.
Complex and engaging. Will continue to drink nicely in the next 5 years.
A blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Merlot. Aged in (65% new) French oak barrels.
13% alcohol by volume.
93 points.

Day 2 of WineBoyz Wineapalooza. Tasted blind. Medium gold color, slightly darker than the 89 Raveneau next to it. Cochey nose with notes of wet stone, petrol, marzipan, tan spice and pit fruit. Powerful with massive acidity. Got better and better over the day. Love 99 Leflaive! Guessed 05 Coche Meursault Genevrieres. 96+ — 2 years ago
Medium Ruby with aromas red fruits, black tea and ample floral spice, aged in 20% new French oak for about 10 months. On the palate flavors of cherry, blackberry and plum with notes of tobacco, cedar, black pepper, tea and vanilla spice. Fine tannins, long finish, well balanced with acidity, ending with fruit, herb, spice and wet stone character. Very Nice! Aging well! — 2 months ago
Boysenberry, cherry, mulberry and violet, tobacco, cedar and wet cinnamon, leather, smoke, and bramble. Rich palate shows black cherry, black currant, tobacco, dark toast, espresso, darkest chocolate, cassis, and graphite. Absolutely perfect now and likely later too!

Tasted blind. Light gold color. Fruit forward nose, almost tropical. Notes of green apple and orchard fruits, wet river stone, apricot, white flowers. Notably younger in its evolution than the first two bottles today, with a slightly lower heaviness and depth. I go with a guess of 2000 Leflaive Pucelles. Nice to see a young 02 Leflaive sans premox, with a lot of upside in front of it. 94+ — a year ago
+2 hour decant(little fine/cloudy sediment). A brooding dark magenta color. On the nose: very aromatic notes..lots of blackberry, floral, pencil lead, wet forest floor, sweet oak. Taste: blackberry, cassis, bitter chocolate, herbs, pepper and a gravelly/new leather long finish with some still there kickin tannins. YUM! Gonna give my next bottle a few more years for a better score. — 3 months ago
Blend of 96% Sauv Blanc with 4% Sauv Gris adding an interesting dynamic to the wine & distinctive aromas (prior to ‘18 vintage some Semillon added). Pale lemon color, citrus, tropical & floral aromas. On the palate peach, melon, herb & earthy tones, well balanced with acidity, smooth yet robust on a long finish ending rich with wet stone character. Good value! A Fav!! Very consistent! — 2 years ago

Muscadet doesn’t get much better than this. Lemon zest, tart green apple, tons of wet rock, screaming acidity. So good. — a month ago
