You cannot really ever go wrong with a value CDR selected by Kermit Lynch. Well rounded fruit with subtle tannins and balanced acidity. Quaffable all day long. — 2 months ago
Opened and decanted hours prior to dinner; enjoyed over the course of a couple hours. The 1989 appears a deep garnet color with a near opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of tart, ripe, and dried fruits: cassis, blackberries, black cherry, black plum, tobacco, Poblano pepper, mixed dried flowers, some cocoa, pencil shavings, dried green herbs, a touch of leather, some organic and gravelly earth and fine warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin (integrated) and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. Fabulous stuff with plenty of fuel left in the tank. Drink now through 2039. — 18 days ago
Somewhat disappointing for a wine of such great stature — 2 months ago

Pale lemon color with delicate aromas of citrus, stone fruits and floral note. On the palate flavors of apple, pear and citrus with notes of floral spice. Medium+ finish, slight citrus notes, vivid acidity and ends with floral mineral spice. Nice! Drink now! — 2 months ago

1998 vintage. Tasted after being open for 30 minutes. Not decanted. Wasn’t the best vintage for valley floor juice but hillside/mountain derived stuff showed decently then. This showed as expected but better than most would have surmised. 07.15.25. — 17 hours ago
