Wow! I loved this wine. Maybe wine of the night? So much happening. What I loved was the tension with the oak and butterscotch flavor and you literally think which will win, but it ends in citrus and tartness with just a bit of the sweetness. Perfect harmony. It’s somewhat like a rollercoaster. Good evens it out and rich food made it richer and seafood made it more tart. Interesting. I’d buy a bottle. At Caruso’s in Montecito. — 16 days ago

Outstanding example of Cali Pinot. Even more so since this is 2012 vintage. Overripe cherries and coffee notes explode on the nose. The palate displays crunchy black fruits along with syrop de cassis. Superb grainy tannins combine with bright acidity. A reference point in Sonoma/Cali.

I frankly don’t know how we had this bottle in storage but I saw it and decided to pull it and am glad that I did! Really a lovely premier cru burg. Quite a nice soft fruit and earth character. Maybe a notch less aromatically expressive than one would want but the seamlessness and depth on the palate makes up for it. Opened a few hours ahead of time but no decant and showed very nicely.
