No notes. Bottle offered to my friend and kept since then, again for a decade or more. Superb currently, can be kept for another 5 to 7 years easily. Cassis, oak and firm tannins, strong acid drive, tar and cigar on the nose. Great stuff ! — 3 months ago

Delectable seems to be having troubles again. This wine is so young, I let it breathe for an hour while I prepped dinner, and it was still pretty tight. After dinner it began to open up with bright red fruit and a hint of florals on the nose. Also some faint brett.
Flavors include tart strawberries, blueberries, cedar and pipe tobacco. Nice, long ending. Not very complex, but well structured and delicious. And a great value!

Some new oak (12 months in oak casks) nicely frames this lovely red-fruited, Grenache-driven CdP, suave, nicely balanced, long, lingering finish, the 1990 CdPs were riper than the 1989s and 1988s, but this is 14% ABV and shows some nice restraint, and is really quite wonderful!! BTW, this was one of the luxury cuvées of CdP that started showing up in 1989/1990, the regular CdP is simply called Beaurenard (this is bottle # 2074, so I’d guess maybe 2,000 cases or so?) — 2 months ago

Medium ruby garnet , medium garnet rim . This is quite aromatic with dusty summer fruits , tobacco , burnt embers , quite classic . On the palate this is quite strict with refreshing acidity , spicy mix fruits , slightly gritty tannins. Quite good length , with dusty , grafite tinged finish . Blend of about 66% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre, and the rest a mix of permitted varieties, Medium Ruby color with aromas of ripe black fruits and earthy pepper spice. On the palate complex rich flavors of cherry and blackberry, with oak, leather, cacao and earthy spice. Full body, well balanced, fine tannins, long finish, perfect now but will last another decade.
