Il Rubino Pinot Noir 2015

This was a pleasant pinot. No dry after taste, just nice not-to-sweet flavours. Enjoyed after a lovely walk through the fall trees in Richmond Hill. — 12 days ago

Castello di Monsanto

Riserva Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend 2015

Fairly closed right now but with very fine complexity on the palate. Tobacco, anise and spice notes more dominant on the nose, but I love the overall shape and contour and the acid and tannin profile for the long term. Give it at least a couple of years if you want to see some real fruit. — 14 days ago

Just one of my favorite bottles. Very oaky and deliberate flavors from a great vintage. — 18 days ago

Santo Stefano Albesani Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2011

A medium garnet color with a wide rim. Classic Barbaresco nose of dried roses, cherries, and dark chocolate. Absolutely gorgeous on the nose. This is one of those producers where you just know that it’s going to be good. A fuller bodied Nebbiolo that’s dancing gracefully at the moment. Ripe tannins that do need a bit of air before the fruit can be fully uncovered. Silky smooth on the tongue and just plain delectable. Touches of leather and dried herbs to go along with the oak, stewed plums, and more cherries on the palate. Chocolate mousse and tobacco follow on the long finish. This can definitely hold up a for several more years but I wouldn’t blame you for opening now. — 14 hours ago

Quattro Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Very good cab!!!!! Notes of floral, spice, and oak. Very smooth to drink. Full bodied. Taste of dark berries. They only make 6 barrels per year and u have to be a club member to acquire. — 17 days ago

Castello Romitorio

Rosso di Montalcino Sangiovese 2011

Wise, sage, Sangiovese. Old, with flashes of its youthful vibrant self. It has a brick crimson rim and soft minerals, dried fruit, leather, and cedar. Black cherries, fresh strawberries, and sweet raisin. — 9 days ago
