Cornas Reynard (R) Syrah 2012

Another great one that was suave, polished, showing a perfumed nose of dark cherry, berry fruits with notes of licorice, spice, crushed rock mineral, graphite, tobacco & violets. — 7 days ago

Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe

La Crau Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 1995

Leather, raspberry, and hints of minerals and dark chocolate, with fine tannin giving it support, some anise comes out with air, great depth and complexity, drinking incredibly well. — 2 days ago

Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhône Blend 2022

2022 vintage. From a 375ml sample. Delicious, ripe and fleshy with enough accompanying structure to balance things out. 11.20.24. — 3 days ago

Château de Beaucastel

Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhône Blend 2006

Double decanted two nights before service. The 2006 pours a deep, slightly hazy garnet color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is vinous with a mix of desiccated fruit and funky umami notes: bruised and desiccated strawberry, red rope licorice, nori, Cherry Dr. Pepper, cracked black pepper and leather. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is forever long and saline; it just hangs around forever. Initially, this came across as bit backward but it really gained power and character the more time it spent in the glass. Drink now with patience and through 2036. — 13 days ago

Saint-Joseph Syrah 2018

Beautiful wine from a few weeks ago at a great dinner in Stockholm. Dark and red fruits with subtle spices, tannins that stayed in the background and a hint of vanilla. Very enjoyable — 12 days ago
