Chateau de Manissy, Tavel rose, Cuvee des Lys. Salmon rose coloration. Very pretty color. On the nose, red berry, cherry and florals. On the palate, red berries, strawberries, minerals, florals, nice fuller body and full mouthfeel. — 2 years ago
Bit more lightening on the rim , more garnet . Touch more herbal on the nose with cedar , and grafite, much more lean and mineral on the palate. This takes quite a while to find its feet and benefits from quite a lot of air . In some ways a little unfortunate to be served between the 2000 and 1990 , which are a fuller , and more showy in style . However after a while this does show quite good length and balance , refreshing acidity . This is quite lean and mineral , focused and still pretty young . From now over the next 10 years. A little austere in style , reminds me a little of the 2005 in that aspect , though without that vintage’s intensity or density . — 4 months ago
Very dark ruby coloration. On the nose, cherry, strawberry and toasted oak. On the palate, it mirrors the nose with the fruit, oak and some vanilla to round it out. Medium to fuller body and well balanced. Smooth tannins and a medium to shorter finish. A nice easy drinking wine at this price point of $25 at total wine. — 4 years ago
Gimonnet Chardonnay is always a joy and always just right. The Gastronome is much like the rest of their stable: deft and delicious. The nose is very fresh with a blast of citrus aromas and some light floral notes. There’s a little mint and a bit of honey. Very pretty.
Pure Chardonnay from six villages in the Côte des Blancs, primarily from Cuis. Very open and inviting, this is an old friend of a champagne. One where you walk into the house and know exactly where everything is at. But that doesn’t dampen the vitality and liveliness of the wine. Zippy acidity and well structured.
Fuller bodied than expected but still as a lithe as a dancer. Chalk and moist limestone with dried herbs on the tongue. The finish is long and resplendent with a little white pepper. Outstanding stuff. — 2 years ago
2020 Christmas gift from neighbors. Rick and I both like it a lot. Fuller than most pinot noirs (good thing) but lighter than most cabs...closer to a blend. — 4 years ago

The 2023 kept its beauty over 3 days . Each day showing fuller riper fruit while maintaining a tart and taut edge. Pineapple. Orchard fruits, citrus. Impressive. — a month ago
